The objective of this paper is to provide a detailed report on the technical activities surrounding the production migration of Domino servers onto an IBM RS/6000 M80 server connected to an Enterprise Storage Server (ESS, a.k.a. Shark). This M80 was deployed into production as part of the Global Notes Architecture (GNA) implemented by IBM Global Services in Boulder, Colorado. GNA is the specification for Domino server deployment (mail and database) and associated infrastructure for the IBM Corporation worldwide.
