This paper will focus on considerations for the global enterprise, including how enterprise applications can support the global firm. As organizations become more global, enterprise business applications must be repositioned to provide visibility to business areas and, hence, enable the acceleration of decision making. To operate globally, companies must define global strategies, develop a global corporate culture, establish global processes, and leverage global human resources. Concurrently, they need applications that can model the business globally and have potential to support future business requirements as global efforts expand.
