With a rich history extending back to 1783 in Mary's Abbey, the Bank of Ireland has grown from a small office with £600K in holdings to an international financial services powerhouse safeguarding over ?90bn in customer assets. In 1996, the Bank's Retail Financial Services Division launched Banking 365 (365), which broke ground as Ireland's first telephone banking offer. The company needed a network infrastructure that could provide 24-7 network availability, and the highest levels of network security. The Bank of Ireland teamed with Avaya Global Services to keep their "Banking 365" service available to customers around the clock without service disruption or interruption.
