International financial services provider, Wells Fargo, has been a symbol of reliable service across the American west since 1852. Wells Fargo had recently developed a 100% pure Java system that allowed its Foreign Exchange (FX) advisors to conduct the business of foreign exchange at multiple geographic sites across the country. Once the decision was made to use Java technology, the development team at Wells Fargo realized that there would be a significant learning curve for its IT staff. This was a daunting task, but with development, assistance and mentoring in Java development, OOP.COM helped make this Java application a reality for Wells Fargo.
