BT (www.bt.com) is a global telecommunications company, providing voice, data and video connections for businesses and consumers worldwide. The challenge was to manage heavy and constantly changing storage requirements, reduce system downtime and cut costs. The solution was the implementation of a virtualised storage solution based on IBM TotalStorage SAN Volume Controller with IBM TotalStorage FAStT700 Storage Server. The benefits were faster management of data storage, lower costs and reduced system downtime during system upgrades.
