The client is a multinational bank operating in 50 countries. The bank had begun building an enterprise data warehouse and a pilot data mart in early 1998. They had adopted a waterfall development model. The project suffered a setback because of quality related issues and delivery schedules could not be met. Wipro introduced the incremental/iterative process development model in place of the waterfall model the bank had selected. Detailed quality processes were formulated for project management and monitoring. This has provided the client with a well-configured, standardized system to capture critical business information. The same solution will now be rolled out to the bank's location worldwide.
