CartoonNetwork.com is a leading site for cartoons on the Internet, with hundreds of games featuring the world's most popular cartoon stars, plus television's largest online trading community, video clips, schedule information and more. CartoonNetwork.com needed a robust web development and design environment to create a seamless gaming experience that would allow players to compete head-to-head in a live, real-time environment. CartoonNetwork.com had earlier versions of Macromedia Flash and knew the technology integrated well with their Java Servlet environment, so when they saw that Macromedia Flash MX had built-in XML socket object functionality, they decided that their familiarity with the product and its new capabilities would save time and money while developing gToons.
