By using Microsoft Windows-based applications server technologies, Visual Studio .NET, and the Microsoft .NET Framework, developers in the Xerox Global Services organization were able to redesign and implement an existing printer management solution from the ground up in just 6 months-an effort that originally took a larger team 18 months to complete. In addition to adding several new major features, the new application can handle three times the requests of the original application. It also can be integrated easily with .NET My Services and a wide range of Xerox and third-party applications using XML Web services.
