Intrawest knows a thing or two about playing to win. As the leading developer and operator of ski villages, golf resorts, and vacation "playgrounds" in North America, Intrawest works hard to get new ideas to market and develop long-lasting relationships with customers. The fast-growing company recently brought in a Dell/EMC Storage Area Network to expand storage for customer-centric applications such as Customer Relationship Management. The new 3TB SAN is expected to allow Intrawest to pare storage costs by 20 percent while doubling storage capacity. Further, consolidating 25 databases onto the SAN has saved Intrawest on hardware costs and reduced software licensing fees. More importantly, the new SAN gives Intrawest more business agility by supporting new data-intensive applications that improve guest services.
