This paper examines the application layer performance in a cdma2000 1xEV Wireless Internet Access system, also know as the 1xEvolution (1xEV) system. The paper goes through the simulation that, for an appropriately chosen set of parameters, the throughput seen by an application running on TCP/IP over the wireless 1xEV link is close to the ideal value.
