Very often the benefits of ITIL are obvious to those who have received ITIL education, read ITIL books or attended an ITIL focused conference. Trying to convince others on how ITIL can benefit the organization is challenging and frustrating. The question of 'selling' ITIL within an organization is a difficult conundrum to solve. To begin, people have to understand that the ITIL processes are not a quick fix nor will ITIL turn a poor IT infrastructure into a great infrastructure overnight. It takes time, planning and commitment to reap the benefits of ITIL.
