Aliant Inc., the telecommunications company that serves the Atlantic Provinces in eastern Canada When Aliant started Innovatia Inc., their eLearning division, the tradition of service excellence also became a core value for this new business venue. In August 2000, Innovatia entered into a partnership agreement with Nortel Networks to transition an entire product portfolio of telecommunications technical courseware from physical classroom training to electronic learning-P to E. In just 15 months, using internal resources and drawing on its established eLearning partner resources in New Brunswick, Innovatia repurposed and revisioned the source course content into a "blended learning" solution that consists of 76 courses: 44 eLearning courses, 12 media-based courses (CD-ROM), and 20 instructor-led courses for content that requires intensive hands-on activities.
