Here is part two of a two-part webcast series that focuses on the specific concerns of Visual Basic 6.0 desktop application developers who are migrating to Visual Basic .NET Windows Forms development. We'll focus on some of the key anxieties that VB6 developers have and some of the ways these fears are allayed in VB.NET. Issues surrounding deployment of VB6 apps are contrasted with VB.NET Windows Forms application deployment (calling out "No-Touch" deployment specifically). We'll talk about issues like security, interoperability with legacy VB6 COM components and how Windows Forms applications can be kept easily updated. Finally, we'll close the session with a number of demos that illustrate tasks that were difficult if not impossible for developers using VB6, but that are now easy and possible in VB.NET.
