One of Victoria's leading health and aged care providers, the not-for-profit Mercy Health & Aged Care, is aiming for total availability of its critical applications. Enterprise Management Solutions (EMS) was appointed to analyse and review the organisation's computer network, systems and support environment. The service improvement solution recommended by EMS was based on a process-driven approach that consisted of the adoption of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), a reference of best practice IT processes, and the implementation of Hewlett-Packard's OpenView management tools.
