As a relatively new institution, one of CityU's goals is to become a leading regional university that delivers high quality undergraduate education to students in Hong Kong, as well as to the broader Chinese market. The 281 courses that have a WebCT component include 27,000 student accounts and involve nearly 12,000 unique students, or 75 percent of CityU's student population. Thus, CityU has quickly achieved success in exposing students to online learning as an expected part of their academic experience.
