Despite a slowdown in the economy, which usually signals dark days for corporate training programs, the office furniture manufacturer Herman Miller is moving ahead with expansion of its corporate e-learning program. Herman Miller adopted the LearningSpace solution in June 2000 to complement its IBM Lotus Notes and IBM Lotus Domino environment already in place. The sales organization was the first to roll out the e-learning solution to deliver new consistency and capabilities to its sales and dealer-training efforts. The corporate e-learning initiative began about six months later.
