Roaming is a service that allows a subscriber of one operator to use the services of another operator when inside the latter?s coverage area. This paper concentrates on GPRS roaming though roaming is important also in GSM voice, SMS, circuit switched data, EDGE, MMS, 3G, and WLAN. The GPRS roaming architecture will be used also in EDGE, MMS, and 3G networks, in all-IP version also in voice.
