Plano, Texas-based SyChip, Inc. is addressing a key area of the Wi-Fi ecosystem: bringing Wi-Fi to ultra-small mobile devices. Created by an R&D team from Bell Labs, SyChip produces Radio Frequency Integration Circuits (RFIC) and Chip Scale Modules (CSM) for the wireless mobile market. SyChip sees Centrino Mobile Technology as a driver of Wi-Fi through notebooks as the desktop market decreases. Through Intel organized networking events such as, the CEO summit, the "Wi-Fi fund" conference, SyChip has developed important relationships.
