With only a two-month window of opportunity in which to provide its goods and services each year, Christmas decor retailer Dekra-Lite found it difficult to spark customer interest outside of the holiday season. Manual, time-intensive processes also limited Dekra-Lite's ability to compete with larger organizations for the most prestigious clients. To respond to these challenges and more effectively market its services, Dekra-Lite implemented technologies ranging from Microsoft Business Solutions-Great Plains integrated financial software to a Web site featuring shopping-cart technology. These and many other tools have helped Dekra-Lite achieve five times its former productivity, improve service to customers, and take on large-scale clients, including Disneyland, Universal Studios, and major shopping centers throughout the United States.
