Getronics, a leading provider of information and communication technology (ICT) solutions and services, has 22,000 employees worldwide and revenues of EUR 2.6 billion in 2003. As a global Microsoft partner, Getronics manages business with Microsoft in 30 countries and distributes a series of monthly and quarterly reports. But the reporting process was cumbersome and time consuming. By implementing a portal solution that utilized the Microsoft Office Business Scorecards Accelerator and SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services, Getronics can now create and distribute reports more timely and cost effectively. The Business Scorecards Accelerator will also help Getronics spend 47% less time creating reports while reducing related administrative effort by approximately 125 worker-days per year. Furthermore, this solution produced a 73% internal rate of return (IRR) and payback of only 13 months.
