In this paper, the issues surrounding the effort required to migrate OS/2's resource files to the Windows platform are exposed. The resources are the graphical components such as the dialogs, bitmaps, icons, pointers and the Online Help. On OS/2, these files will have extensions such as: .dlg, .h, .rc, .ico, .bmp, .ptr, .hlp etc. This is certainly one of the most complex and tedious aspects of the overall migration effort. The Resource Migration Service (RMS) migrates all of the resource components.
