Health Alliance Medical Plans offers quality health coverage to more than 232,000 lives in Illinois and Iowa that are enrolled through more than 800 employer groups. The Company's computing environment consists of an IBM iSeries (AS/400) and two Microsoft SQL Servers, one of which runs Epicor, a General Ledger (GL) system, and Onyx, a Customer Service system. Health Alliance needed a solution in place that would allow them to transfer data from their production AS/400 system into SQL Server in order to ensure its Epicor and Onyx applications remain populated with up-to-the-minute health plan and corporate data. After researching several data integration solutions available on the market, Health Alliance came across DataMirror Transformation Server software in an iSeries industry magazine.
