Southern California Edison wanted to update an existing intranet site built in HTML to create a dynamic application that would provide support technicians with a centralized place to quickly and easily reference approved solutions to common desktop problems, as well as serve as a portal for all approved driver and patch specifications, and installation procedures. Jason Shea, IT Specialist/Engineer 3, at SCE suggested using Macromedia products to build an application customized to their needs-for a lot less money.
