Supporting Pillsbury Winthrop LLP law firm’s attorneys and staff is a network of more than 150 servers drawing upon a disk farm with an aggregate 20 terabytes of capacity. Backing up all of this information is critical to Pillsbury Winthrop. Pillsbury Winthrop’s legacy tape libraries began to experience problems and had become unreliable, StorageTek library solutions were chosen to meet Pillsbury Winthrop’s backup and recovery needs. They chose Miyaji chose Quantum Super DLT drives in standard configurations ranging from two to six for the L20, L40 and L180. For backup and restore operations, Pillsbury Winthrop uses CommVault’s Galaxy backup and recovery software application.
