Clayton Utz is one of Australia's leading law firms. It employs staff throughout Australia that uses the network extensively. Clayton Utz faced two main challenges in its network. Firstly, several applications took too much bandwidth and slowed network performance. Secondly, space in the Information Services (IS) room was tight. Clayton Utz installed the 3Com SuperStack 3 Switch 4300 in the Management Information Services (MIS) department to solve its problem. The Switch 4300 has 48 ports so Clayton Utz can consolidate the network connections from three of its old switches into one Switch 4300. Consolidating its network gives Clayton Utz simpler installation and management.
