American University of Beirut's, Computer & Networking Services department sought to patch the campus network edge with a cost-effective solution that could cope with expansion needs. Because AUB already used 3Com products, it chose 3Com to achieve its current needs and deployed 3Com NJ200 Network Jacks. For university network administrators, 3Com NJ200s permit simple, scalable, manageable, and cost-effective AUBnet expansion. Additional network access points can now be added immediately without the need to bring in expensive outside help. This in turn results in faster responses to AUB user requests for network connectivity.
