Business was good for Los Angeles-based Crystal Cruises, which had just been named the "World's Best Large Ship Cruise Line" by Condé Nast Traveler. However, more business meant more e-mails, and more e-mails meant more spam. Spam was getting to be a serious problem, some of their users were actually getting junk mail three-to-one over legitimate e-mails, and everyone was spending too much time sorting through junk mail every day. Crystal Cruises tried other enterprise spam filters, but none of them offered the combination of protection, customization, and reporting, that the company needed. Then they tried Corvigo's MailGate with Intent-Based Filtering technology (IBF).
