The Hudson Falls Central School District in Hudson Falls, New York educates 2,500 students, from kindergarten to 12th grade. A single Exchange 2000 server handles all the district’s 1,500 email accounts, with a second Exchange server providing redundancy in the event of server failure. Greg Partch, the district’s Director of Educational Technology, remembers the spam problem starting in his own inbox, because of the many sites he visits on the Internet and the many opportunities that spammers subsequently have to harvest his address. But the other email users in the district soon shared his concern. Hudson Falls installed Sunbelt’s iHateSpam, which helped them to solve the spam problem. Now the district’s faculty, staff, and students have had very few spam complaints in recent months.
