With the rapid growth in mobile communications, China Mobile continues to expand and is on the lookout to equip itself with leading technologies. Hubei Mobile provides mobile voice, data, IP phone, multimedia transmission and many other value-added services. It uses BOSS (Business Operation Support System) to handle several of its core business needs. With more than five million users, Hubei Mobile's existing systems can no longer meet its business demands. After testing several backup storage solutions, Hubei Mobile decide to employ the StorageTek solution, which is comprised of one StorageTek L700e tape library and 14 SDLT tape drives, supplemented by Legato Backup Software.
