MONOC is a non-profit company owned by nine hospitals in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, New Jersey. The company fitted its ambulances with 55 Mentor wireless data computers (MDCs), which include internal GPS receivers, built-in Smart Card readers, and odometer readers. This state-of-the art wireless data/GPS system has allowed MONOC significantly reduce their voice communications, and to automate odometer information data collection and to track their ambulance fleet in real time.
