This document provides techniques to augment a DVD-ROM-based installation with the services and behaviors typically provided by a JumpStart server. The techniques presented in this article can be used when one need to perform an automated installation of a Solaris Flash archive, but are unable to use a JumpStart server. This document describes a procedure to create a bootable installation DVD-ROM with a complete software stack on a DVD that one can use to perform a standardized and fully automated installation of the software stack from the DVD.
