Midam Metal Forming provides customized precision stretch forming for the aerospace and commercial construction industries. Before using Pendragon Forms handheld applications, inventory and project data for the custom metal working shop was collected on a three-copy paper inventory sheet. The information was re-copied onto a work order and finally the same information was copied again for shipping paperwork. Workflow in the custom metal working shop is driven by the availability of materials, so forms were developed to receive inventory and trigger subsequent work processes. When new materials arrive, inventory data is collected on the handheld along with specific information needed for materials, work orders, and shipping. Pendragon Forms was used to replace paper work orders for a large metal forming and fabricating operation. The new system delivered 100% ROI in one month.
