With a view to challenge, the university undergraduate and graduate students to create new ways of composing music using Palm handheld computers and help them to re- conceptualize their artistic practices the Central Washington University utilized Palm handheld computers & keyboards, Swivel Systems SG-20 MIDI modules and various applications. This resulted in expanding of the students’ creative processes and allowed anytime, anywhere computing for music composition and ensemble groups, it also provided a dynamic and collaborative environment for composing music.
