This paper discusses the use of replicas created on CLARiiON SnapView clones to quickly recover Exchange 2000 databases. The process described is equivalent for Exchange 2003 on Windows 2000. This paper is not intended to be a how-to guide. Its purpose is to give a technical description of the CLARiiON hot-split process with Exchange and to describe the benefits of this approach.
