At AT&T Capital Corp., one of the largest leasing and finance companies in the world, catching viruses used to be a time-consuming, resource-swallowing exercise in frustration for Michael Hart, Global Electronic Messaging Architect. With only a desktop solution in place, Hart and his team, who support AT&T Capital email operations in 30 offices worldwide, found chasing viruses a perpetual game of "cat and mouse." The company deployed server-based virus protection nine months ago, after finding ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange, and reports that managing its anti-virus strategy is no longer a problem. AT&T Capital now has ScanMail installed on at least 25 servers at each of the 30 offices his team covers, and they are satisfied with how well the product works.
