Michelin’s applications are global and information is shared throughout the company. Since 1996, Michelin have felt the importance of building a global network architecture that allows them to make it easier to manage applications. At one time, they had at least three different network environments and 11 different email systems. The answer to Michelin’s need for a unified IT structure was Novell Directory Services one tree for the whole network.
