The CERT Advisory CA-2002-03 titled "Multiple Vulnerabilities in Many Implementations of the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)" states that vulnerabilities found in the SNMP (referring to v1) implementations of many vendors may allow unauthorized access to the network causing Denial of Service and unstable behavior on SNMP enabled network devices.
