PEMEX Refining was running on a small, decentralized network, making it difficult to transfer and share data concerning the safe and efficient transportation of its petrochemical and petroleum products by pipeline and ship throughout the company. PEMEX Refining needed a solution to simultaneously centralize its network while enabling the safe, efficient transportation of its products and maximizing employee productivity. PEMEX Refining chose Novell to help synchronize the processes involved in the effective transportation of its products as well as eliminate network downtime and reduce technical support calls. Factors such as network experience, client training and technical support were at the heart of the company’s decision to use Novell NetWare.
