Freedomland-ITN provides Internet television service in Europe enabling those who do not own personal computers or speak English to gain access to the Internet through Web-TV sets. Consequently, Freedomland is not only a growing portal service, but also a provider of Web-TV sets. Freedomland expects to triple its customer base in 2001 by expanding its business into Spain, Germany, the U.K. and other European countries. As a key driver of that expansion, the company is working with IBM to find a way to boost sales of its Web-TV boxes. IBM introduced an e-commerce solution that's been a tremendous success for Freedomland-ITN.
