Having been created from elements of three previous councils, Medway Council inherited a disparate set of IT systems, which proved costly to maintain. Having considered other proposals, Medway Council chose to work with Fujitsu. Together, Medway Council and Fujitsu designed and implemented a new IT system that would standardize communications across the organization. Fujitsu opted to base its solution on Microsoft’s enterprise platform, which provides the necessary security and ensures Medway’s ability to extend the platform, adding new applications as its needs change.
