This paper develops the theoretical foundation for calculating the probability of a WLAN packet error in a Bluetooth environment. A formula has been developed for the probability of an 802.11 packet error in the presence of a Bluetooth Piconet. This is also referred to as the Packet Error Rate. This paper does not investigate the impact of a WLAN on Bluetooth.
