In particular, it addresses the suitability of CDMA2000 1X (formerly called CDMA/IS-95-C, CDMA 1xRTT, or cdma2000 1x), and its future derivatives CDMA 1xEV-DO and CDMA 1xEV-DV, as a 3G alternative.
