IIS 6.0 relies on a new Kernel listener to process all incoming HTTP requests. HTTP.sys is much more robust than Winsock by offering features such as queuing of incoming unprocessed requests as well as caching of completed requests. This webcast will discuss how to configure HTTP.sys caching and what types of request are “cachable.” A brief discussion will also take place around how HTTP.sys and the new WWW Service Admin and Monitoring component interact with each other to build the listen list for HTTP.sys and the request queues.
