Founded in 1897 to offer courses with a vocational slant, Paisley developed rapidly in size and scope, and first offered degree studies in the early 1900s. The University of Paisley wanted to enhance teaching methods and communication. The university now offers an e-learning solution, based on technology from Microsoft partner Blackboard that enables staff and students to communicate and share information at any time, from any Internet-connected computer.
