Expert Invest AB is a retailer of photo and consumer electronics with 209 stores throughout Sweden. Just before Christmas in 2000, Expert started using the latest version of INVID Help Desk on a Domino for Linux server specially tuned by Cendio Systems, a Linux system integrator and Lotus Business Partner. All employees now access the system using a Web browser as their client. Expert uses the same software and its Domino workflow applications for its call center. INVID’s Help Desk application software-originally developed on Microsoft’s Windows NT-did not need to be modified for Linux. It just installed normally and ran.
