Alfa Laval: Specialty Supplier Seeks Simplified Administration through Unifying Directory Service

Based in Sweden, Alfa Laval is a global supplier of systems used in product separation, heat transfer, and fluid handling. Alfa Laval wanted to standardize and improve the efficiency of its traditionally decentralized IT structure in order to simplify administration and support. With 100 offices worldwide serving a range of industries, Alfa Laval was finding its decentralized IT infrastructure difficult to manage. A new directory service is being tested for the purpose of connecting the company’s server park and facilitating automatic distribution of software. Microsoft Windows Server 2003 has been installed on five servers that are being used as domain controllers.
