AlaWeb Internet Services provides the State of Alabama with dial-up Internet access, and a range of other Internet services. As an Internet Service Provider, AlaWeb was very concerned about the offensive nature and amount of spam received by their customers. They evaluated solutions based on which one stopped the most spam, with the least false positives. They spent six weeks running PureMessage alongside competitive products, and found that it outperformed them by an average of 35%: that is, PureMessage stopped that much more spam.
