The Federal Court issued an amended consent judgment requiring the MWSA to maintain an information portal that contained documentation related to its continued compliance with both the discharge permit and the Federal consent judgment. In response to this requirement for an information portal, the MWSA, along with Documentum Consulting, developed the Permit Compliance Site (PCS), an intranet Web site/portal based on the Tibco ActivePortal application. The PCS portal was designed initially for distributing content and information to the office of the Federal judge who implemented the consent judgment. Eventually, however, MWSA hopes to replace other existing intranet sites and make the PCS the single intranet portal for the general MWSA corporate population. This white paper details the design and development aspects of the integration of the Documentum content management platform and the Tibco ActivePortal application using Web Publisher and Site Caching Services.
