This technical paper discusses how to encrypt SOAP messages over standard HTTP using Microsoft Web Services Enhancements (WSE) that supports the WS-Security specification. It includes a review of how encryption works for SOAP messages and how it is defined in the WS-Security and XML Encryption specifications.
