This session will examine how to best use the J2EE Platform together with J2ME-enabled clients. We may also discuss other clients (using J2SE, Java Web Start, etc.) as time allows. The session will cover provisioning technology from both client and server perspectives, including simple Web server based provisioning as well as enterprise, carrier, and Internet scale provisioning enabled by the J2EE Client Provisioning Specification (JSR 124). We will make use of the Sun BluePrints Java Smart Ticket and J2EE Deployathon demos to illustrate and discuss end-to-end design and deployment issues.
